‘’ Anatomy of a Cheeseburger’’

I was reading an article today, ‘’ Anatomy of a Cheeseburger’’, and I thought it would be very interesting to post in here. In this article, Rifkin explains how Ray Kroc, a salesman who set up the first franchise of the McDonald’s drive-in restaurant, revolutionized the American restaurant industry. The author states that Kroc had it done by imposing discipline on the production of hamburgers, proving that he could be a great industrial comparing himself to Henry Ford. Kroc noticed that Americans had the necessity to get easier access to the food, so he decided to make things faster: by creating a fast meal and having it quickly delivered to the customers. Rifkin also emphasizes how the cheeseburgers were made step-by-step. Finally, the author points out that all the cheeseburgers are the same and different workers can make it without any problem.
